Charles Thomas LASSITER, Sr., 65, died Thursday, August 18, 2011. Born in Vance County on January 28, 1946, he was the son of the late Charles Woodrow Lassiter and Athaleen Dowdy Lassiter. Mr. Lassiter was a veteran of the United States Army. Funeral services were held Monday at the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Sunset Gardens. He is survived by his wife; one daughter; one son; one brother; one sister; and five grandchildren. Arrangements are by J. M. White Funeral Home.

Walter Earl LITTLETON, Sr., 74, of Marion, Mississippi died Monday, August 29, 2011. Born in Vance County, he was the son of the late Wardell May Littleton and Annie Pearl Wilkins Littleton. Mr. Littleton was a retired United States Army Major. A graveside service, with Military Honors, was held Sunday, September 4, 2011 at Elmwood Cemetery. Surviving are his wife of forty-three years; a daughter; a son; a sister; and one grandson. Arrangements are by Flowers Funeral Home.
