Mrs. Bettie Travis WILLIAMS, 73, died last night at her home in Mebane. She had been ill for the last month. She was a native of Vance County, and daughter of the late Malcolm and Mary Brame Travis. She is survived by her husband, Edward H. Williams; two daughters, Mrs. D. H. Patton of Mebane and Mrs. C. L. Green of Wadesboro; one brother, W. G. Travis of Henderson; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at the Mebane Methodist church, with burial in the Oakwood Cemetery.
